Knowledge for impact

Scale up grassroot knowledge to accelerate impact across Africa…

Local people still remain the main drivers for sustainable development. Organized grassroots groups especially those led by women are already investing in solutions, while others are debating theories intended to improve their lives and that of their communities.

In our current context where flows of information are becoming increasingly fragmented and unpredictable, knowledge and evidence for policy and practice are critical in development work.

Uongozi Centre Africa is keen to explore the complex pathways through which research and building on grassroots knowledge and skills for evidence can be used in ending poverty, inequality and marginalization. The centre is committed to contributing to surfacing, strengthening and storing grassroots knowledge and making it easy to share and scaled up to accelerate impact across Africa and beyond while building a strong case for partnership among non state actors, government and academia for advancing development knowledge and taking advantage of the shared potential.
